Blogspot gives free services to their clients to post a blog. There is some confusion between these two terms blogger and blogspot. Blogger is actually a free service provided by Google, where someone can make his/her own page, or a website, and for hosting this webpage on internet; a subdomain blogspot.com by Google, called a blogspot.
Initially, Blogger owner was Pyra labs. Moreover, blog services were not free. In 2003, Google purchased these services from Pyra labs, and now it’s a free blog making website for anyone.
In 2004, many features added by Google like posting, sharing, image uploading, commenting, liking, for a single archive page. Moreover, Blogger is not language dependent. It gives facilities to all people to make their blog in their own language.
How to Customize a Blogger:
Someone can customize a blogger blog via various templates. A unique template is also helpful to make a blog more attractive for audience. Although, there are some other Blog sites like WordPress, still it is recommended to start with blogger. It is easy to use and customize.
After setting up an account in blogger, someone needs to post something to start a work as a blogger. There are few simple steps how someone can start posting in blogger and how to customize a blogger page.
- Firstly, open your account in Blogger.com. Here you will see different options listed on the left hand side bar.
- Click on the new post icon and you are done for a new post. Write whatever here or post something related to your business.
- After posting, back to your blogger first page, now you would like to change your background setting in first preference. It is very easy in blogger; on the left bar again there is an option for template, click it and you will see different template themes. Choose your layout them by just clicking on it.
- After selecting a template, you can also customize a blogger, as you can change background color, increase width, change the layout of the template, change the color setting of text, and everything a developer can in any web designing software like Dreamweaver.
- There are many widgets also available in blogger for adding more features like ads into your site, timer, calendar, buttons, and much more.
For a business perspective, it is necessary to have knowledge about how to customize a blogger template with some useful widgets (Gadgets), where you can stand out from the crowd.
