Blogger offers free weblog publishing tools from Google. Blogger provides a wide collection of blog templates that are used to make content more attractive. These templates include readymade designs in a great range of colors, images, text options, formats, graphics and frames. For installation purpose, you can use Blogger control panel that offers a way to quickly install Blogger templates.


Finding a Blogger Template

There are many web sites that provide free or paid templates for Blogger/Blogspot accounts. Performing a Google search for "free blogger templates" will turn up thousand of websites that you can easily browse to find a new template design.
Blogger templates generally come in the form of XML files. The websites that provide Blogger templates usually will give you a download link that will allow you to save that template file to your computer. After you have saved the template XML file, you can start installation for your blog.

Steps - Installing a Blogger template involves following these steps:

1) Login to your Blogger account using Gmail address. If you do not have a Blogger account, you need to create one. Blogger accounts are free and only require an email address to get started.


2) Click on the "Layout" tab link corresponding to the blog post for which you want to install a new template.


3) Now click on the "Edit HTML" link. This will show you the screen that allows uploading the XML file from your computer.

4) Click on the "Browse" button at the top corner of the blog page. Using the browse window, find the XML file from you your computer. Select that XML file, and click "Open" tab. The browse window will close automatically. Now click "Upload" button to install new template.


5) When your new template will install without any problems, you will see a message that says "Your changes have been saved successfully." After that, follow a link to view your updated blog page. Finally click on the link to “verify” your new blog template.
